About this Activity
Students will compare and contrast rhythm/pitch sets in this musical twist on the classic "Hangman" game. It is most effective if used in sequence, following the introduction of basic symbols (quarter note, eighth note and quarter rest). The Mystery Message Lesson Plan and accompanying free printable game is designed to fulfill Standard #6 of the National Standards for Music: listening to, analyzing, and describing music.
