Student Saxophones
Student saxophones are designed for the beginner and are meant to provide an excellent start for the first few years of playing. Most student saxophones will produce a tone easily and fit well in the beginners hands.

Intermediate Saxophones
Intermediate saxophones are designed for students that have been playing for at least 2 years, and have acquired basic playing skills. Intermediate saxophones typically feature key work similar to that of the highest quality saxophones.

Professional Saxophones
Professional quality saxophones are designed for the advanced and professional musician. These high-end instruments are recommended for high school students and above. They usually include features like hand-hammered keys, hand engraving, and silver or gold plating. Parents desiring to save a little should start with a student saxophone and transition into a professional line saxophone in high school, by passing the intermediate level instrument.
