History
Bingo is a children's song about a dog. The earliest known version of the song was published sometime around 1888. In 1894, English folklorist, Alice Bertha Gomme recorded eight versions of the song. The modern version, most common around school children, spells the name of a dog. Each repetition of the verse decreases the letters, and replaces them with a clap.
