What's New...
Some one-hit wonders are the result of fads that faded, and others are just flukes. They represent a burst of talent that never seemed to emerge again in such a dynamic way. Chopsticks, written by British born composer Euphemia Allen when she was only 16 years old, is one such piece. Its original title, The Celebrated Chop Waltz, came from her directions on the performance of the piece. She noted that the melody should be played with a karate chopping motion with both hands held sideways.
Chopsticks has brought smiles to the faces of children since 1877. We hope our arrangements will do the same.
