Stuff for a Happier You! | January 2011 from the What's New! Newsletter Index

Happy New Year Everyone!
One of our subscribers suggested that I send themed newsletters this year. Great idea! Here is our first... "Stuff for a Happier You!"
Pixar Studios has given us some of the finest animated features ever made. Beginning with Toy Story, they delivered hit after hit including Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc. and Cars. The reason they keep delivering blockbusters like these is because they have resolved to "sand the underside". To the woodworker, this means finishing the side of the wood that no one will ever see.
This year our resolution is to "sand the underside". When I was about to launch MMF! I read a phrase on a symphony website that claimed that they were the premier web destination for music education. I thought, "That's what I want." I worked hard to get an "A" on everything I added to MMF! so I could attain that goal. This year I'm going for "A+".
Every new and improved resource will be devoted to making you a happier you. I'll be sending you:
1) Stuff to make your teaching experience better (and more fun)
2) Stuff that enhances your homeschooling music experience
3) Stuff to help you use your teaching/music talents to generate a little extra income
4) Stuff to help you keep more of the money you work so hard to earn
5) Stuff that is new or improved from the MMF! website including new instrumental and Orff arrangements, improved sheet music arrangements (added fingering and lyrics), lesson plans, and maybe a few surprises...
Stuff to Make Your Teaching Experience Better...
New MMF! Online Piano Lessons
Would you be happier if your students were well prepared for their lessons? Here are seven video lessons for beginning students that can help them do just that. Teach them the pieces from the MMF! All-in-One Beginner Piano Course and then show them where to find the video lesson.
I Like Being Me (Lesson 1)
Georgie Porgie (Lesson 2)

Stuff to Help You Use Your Teaching/Music Talents to Generate Extra Income...
I looked for ways to diversify my income this year. My first goal was to write articles for AssociatedContent.com. Starting on January 1st, I challenged myself to write 100 articles in 3 months. I currently have 115 articles on AC and make about $15 per month. It's not much, but the great thing about it is that this is passive income. I don't ever have to think about these articles again and I will still get about $15 a month for my effort. If the articles grow in popularity I will make even more.
How it works...
1) Write a 350-500 word article
2) Submit it for approval
3) Collect income ($1.50 for each 1000 page views)
If you like this, you'll need this...
The following articles will help you to be successful on AC. They will help you to write dynamite titles and keyword rich content - important stuff in the web world.
How to Write Titles That Gets You Noticed
How to Write Content That Gets You Noticed
Both articles are from my website, StorehouseBuilder.com, and share the ideas that help me drive visitors to my websites. I hope they are helpful to you too.
Here's a few of the articles that I have written...
The big earners...
Free Art Masterpiece Curriculum for Homeschooling Families
David and Goliath - Bible Songs and Free Lesson Resources
Moses and the Ten Commandments: Story, Coloring Page and Craft
Free Disney Coloring Pages - Disney Characters and More
Pablo Picasso: Free Art Lesson Plans and Resources for Homeschooling Kids
Most of the time a big earner is an article that fills a need that hasn't been filled yet (or at least not by too many people). Four of these articles had double benefits. I generate passive income from them while driving traffic to my own websites. Woo Hoo!
The big duds...
How to Draw Animals - Art Projects for Kids
Teak Outdoor Furniture: A Buyer's Guide
The Ultimate True Love Test
Big duds happen. Sometimes there are just too many other articles out there or there aren't enough people interested in what you have to say. The lesson here is "Don't write anymore like this".
Other Stuff...
I've refined the MMF! search results. Now every search will provide you with right-on-target results without all the extra text and unwanted files.
One more thing...
MMF! received a link recently with a super nice comment from Joy of ColorInMyPiano.com. If you're out there, "Thanks for the nice comment".
