Free Sheet Music
I added an arrangement that I have wanted to add for sometime now. I finally figured out how to solve some of the problems that needed to be overcome to provide this simplified arrangement. I hope you enjoy it!
Moonlight Sonata for Easy Piano by Ludwig van Beethoven
We've also been making improvements to the sheet music, such as formatting, fingerings, etc.
Music Classroom Management
Here's a big and always challenging issue. I'm not going to try to tackle the whole topic here, though an effective idea is always a good thing.
Here's an idea to motivate better participation and better behavior all at the same time.
Follow Grandma's Rule - "If you want your desert , you have to eat your dinner."
Here are a couple of situations that you might apply this rule:
1) If you would like a chance to play the xylophone today, I would like for you to do _________________.
2) The faster we can get through _________, the sooner we can __________.
3) If you try hard, we can play a game at the end.
Featured Composer: Franz Joseph Haydn
Perhaps more than any other music composer, Franz Joseph Haydn is known for his wit. The most popular example is found in his Surprise Symphony when his light, simple melody is suddenly interrupted by a loud chord that "surprises" the audience. Our fun-filled lessons and resources celebrate our featured composer and his Surprise Symphony.
